He can easily miss a few races and still be in the top 10 come Reading as long as he consistently goes rounds at the races he does attend.

As a Capco fan, disappointing that he isn't running the full schedule, but he's spending his kids' inheritances at this point so not surprised. Guessing I will not be seeing him up at New England Dragway, which will suck.

Let's all pour ourselves a cup of Milk-Plus and try this again, droogs.

My opinion would be and just my opinion, an expanding family, more responsibility within the family business (I'm certain Billy would like to retire someday) and not having as much fun drag racing is what you may be seeing.

I doubt anyone in that group is spending their inheritance. If so, that goat would've walked out the front gate a long time ago.

tony s., was just going to type same. a family business of that size inevitably has transition periods, not to mention immediate family.
nobody knew who steve torrence was when he was killin' it in the family AFD; just the same most folks do not know who spencer hyde and family is,
as they've been killin' it in PM. plenty of fresh talent out there to get behind. even in the sportsman classes, take a look at some of those operations.
the laris family comes to mind. some unbelievable dedication to this sport going on out there. hildalgo jr. and sr. both to finals of STK and SS yesterday in LA.
and on and on and on and on.

Torrence, who all but owned Top Fuel for 5 years with double digit wins and multiple championships. That is a very tough high to come down from and i could imagine racing is not nearly as fun when the lean times hit and at some point you don't even want to play anymore. Of all the racers that Dominated a particular class, over the years, i'm gonna say Bob Glidden is the only one who Dominated at one point, subsequently fell back into the pack, however after toughing it out, eventually regained his domination

Does anybody know if Steve’s wife, Natalie, still do social media work for other pro teams? I’ll have to look to see if she is around the pits in Phoenix.
