I know that no problem raceway in Belle Rose, Louisiana is really vying for the spring nationals spot. That track promoter (Nelson Hoyos) is one of a kind, and if anyone can get it done, he can. Probably not by next year, but he really wants it bad.

We might be back to 24 events by 2026 or 2027, barring any other horrible circumstances that might happen with the economy, etc.
No Problem, Bandimere, Flying H and possibly Topeka. While I love as many as possible it does cost the teams that much more money. Without Bandimere and Topeka on the schedule this year, there is only three races between July 1st and August 28th. We definitely need a few more races in the summer months.

Would be a shame if flying H never gets a national event. It's going to be a an awesome facility.
According to the last news from NHRA, flying H was going to get a national event. That may have changed, I don’t know.

agreed, 3 week gap from norwalk to seattle, and another 3 from sonoma to brainerd. need at least one more in there somewhere.
...... what a bad situation with the accident in odessa.

very early announcement for title sponsor of 2025 seattle race; muckleshoot casino and resort. has this casino been involved with anyone
other than ron capps from this summer's race?

rumor on complus today talking about pomona1 starting season again in 2026. moving phoenix race out of april, and gators
being 3rd race of season. i am not a fan of this. IMO no need to start season in feb. either.
if the FL shootout race sticks, they'll be hauling to FL, then CA, NV, then back to FL.
2026 hopefully will have bandimere race back on schedule as well

I heard from someone at Firebird in the last few weeks they were "actively trying" to get back to the February date in '26. In a perfect world you run Pomona, Phoenix/Vegas or vice versa, Gainesville, Charlotte to start the season to minimize travel but with scheduling around other events (mainly NASCAR at both Vegas and Phoenix) that throws a wrench into everything.

Did firebird put up their new scoreboards yet? They purchased them from Bandimere awhile back.

As far as I know they are still the same scoreboards they have had since the initial transition from Charlie Allen to tribal management a decade ago and there is nothing wrong with them. If any track out west needs new boards it's Vegas. Can't hardly see anything during the daytime

Zed: I agree with Pomona, Phoenix/Vegas, then Gainseville. Pomona should always be first, and get back to the Feb starting date for the season.

I think the big issue for Phoenix in March is spring training. February or April works much better for the race teams and fans expense wise.
