Brady Quinn will go before TSmith. Quinn will be top 5. TSmith will certainly be taken but not near the top. (Like I'm some sort of expert!:rolleyes:)

Yes I got a nice 6 point in the U.P. of Michigan. Our bow season remains open until Jan 1st. I am off between the holidays so I will spend some more time in the woods locally. I still have tags to fill.

These few weeks of no college Fball have sucked. Hey the Winternationals are only a couple months away! :D

Hence the reason I dont think they will do it. They need to spend $$$ on a veteran anyways.

I am no expert either but I think Troy will go before Brady Quinn. Am I sensing another bet here???????:rolleyes:

Quinn goes before Smith, its not even close. Troy may have worked himself into the first round now as with a great workout or combine will move up further. Just 2 weeks ago he was figured late 2nd early 3rd round pick.


Quinn has been labeled a better pro style qb, plus playing under Weiss with his nfl pedigree and history with Brady will help make Quinn a top pick. Either Oakland or Detroit will take him.

Smith would work well in Atlanta, they're already used to a running qb but Troy actually knows how to pass too.
 
For Quinn's sake I hope Detroit doesn't take him. The Lion's have destroyed the careers of many a young, highly rated QB's coming out of college. :eek:

I agree PJ. I think Oakland will take him if he's there depending how the picks work out.

Glad you asked, Tom! The debt has been paid, but I decided puttting a jpeg of one of my checks with all of its attendant account numbers may not be the best idea I ever had. How bout this--when the cancelled check returns, I can black out all the sensitive info and then scan it and post it. Will that work? By the way, I think OU will be positively a MACHINE with Adrian back. Best of luck!

Detroit wins or loses depending on your point of view the tie breakers for #1 pick. So right now Detroit 1, Oakland 2 and Tampa 3.

Not sure if Quinn is worth a #1 pick but I would think that they'll take him. Although with Kevin Jones possibly out for 1 year or more then they may go for Peterson. But he has an injury history too. Either way whoever they don't pick will end of having a much better career

Absolutely.... Quinn will without a doubt be top 5, possibly #1... Smith will be late 1st round at best...
 
According to Scouts Inc. #1 Joe Thomas OT, Wisconson/ #2 Brady Quinn QB, ND/ #3 Calvin Johnson WR, Georgia Tech/ #4 Leon Hall DC, Michigan/ #5 Gaines Adams DE, Clemson/ #6 Ted Ginn jr. WR, Ohio State/ #7 Quinn Pitcock DT, Ohio State/ #8 Wayne Jarrett WR, USC/ #9 Adrian Peterson RB, Oklahoma/ #10 LaRon Landry DS, LSU. These are how they are graded, but the order they are picked will be a little differant according to the picking teams needs. I would think Brady Quinn will go #1, and I would love to see Joe Thomas with a Star on His helmet but the Cowboys won't have a chance at Him.
 
While it is still to early to tell, I am still going with Troy Smith. If & when it finally happens next year if I am wrong, I'll come back & listen to all of the "I told you so's"!!!:eek: Let's get thru the BCS Championship game & celebrate the OHIO STATE BUCKEYES victory first!!!!!!:p

Teri, just curious, do you think he will go first b/c you think he's really good or b/c he won the Heisman?

1991 Desmond Howard Michigan WR 1st 4th pick. A bust as a wr, but one of the all time greats as a return man with a super bowl mvp award. Not worth this high of a pick though

1992 Gino Torretta Miami (Fla) QB 7th round major bust,

1993 Charlie Ward Florida State QB Sr. choose to play in the nba, wasn't much nfl interest

1994 Rashaan Salaam Colorado RB 1st round 21st pick, good rookie year, then fell apart. had major fumble-itis

1995 Eddie George Ohio State RB 1st rd 14th. great player

1996 Danny Wuerffel Florida QB 4th rd bust

1997 Charles Woodson Michigan CB 1st round 4th pick. Solid cover man

1998 Ricky Williams Texas RB 1st rd 5th pick. When not on the wacky tabacky or wearing wedding dresses, he could play. Now playing in canada sitting out a 1 yr nfl suspension, will always be known as Mr what could have been.....

1999 Ron Dayne Wisconsin RB 1st rd 11th pick. Never gonna reach the potential some thought he had. Bust at this high of pick

2000 Chris Weinke Florida State QB 4th rd, career clip board holder

2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska QB 3rd pick drafted as a wr instead of QB, never made it anywhere.

2002 Carson Palmer USC QB 1st rd #1 looks to be a great one

2003 Jason White Oklahoma QB never played

Still to early I suppose but both these guys appear to be headed to good careers
2004 Matt Leinart USC QB 1st rd 10th

2005 Reggie Bush USC 1st rd 2


it doesn't appear that winning the heisman means you'll have a good career let alone a high draft spot.

Will Troy become the next Carson Palmer or Danny Wuerffel ?

PJ is right I am a die hard BUCKEYE fan!!! Justin in answer to your question, I think he is really good. There have bee quite a few (as PJ has pointed out) Heisman winners that have gone on to do not so good but I think Troy Smith will do good.

Since we all know everyone is entitled to one, in my opinion he is better than Brady Quinn & he has the Heisman too boot!!! Plus he is gonna help the BUCKEYES win the championship game!!!:p
