Yeah, I agree with all that. It's too bad that Adrian Peterson got hurt this year. He definitely would've given Troy a run for his money.
General consensus is that the Fiesta will be his last game in Sooner attire. He only needs about 150-ish yards to become the all-time rushing leader at OU. He's behind 2 Heisman winners (Billy Sims, Steve Owens) and 1 that should've been, Greg Pruitt. Amazingly enough Adrian only played in 1 complete season and roughly half of 2 other seasons. This collarbone thing was a freak deal, just a minor fracture and not a break, and he's predicted to be 100% full speed for the Fiesta. He'll definitely be a prime time draft pick.No doubt, I think he might have had a good shot at the Heisman... Prior to injury, he was without a doubt the best back in the country... What's the word up there? Will he enter the draft?
As far as the draft goes, Brady Quinn will be the #1 pick, Troy Smith will probably be a late rounder, not a top 5 pick... If Peterson enters & looks healthy at the combine, etc, someone will go after him, EARLY...
Tom, I remember the Greg Pruitt near-Heisman year--hate to bring this up, but it's part of OU-NU rivalry history--wasn't that the year Johnny Rogers won the Heisman amid a firestorm of controversy concerning his off-field "activities'?General consensus is that the Fiesta will be his last game in Sooner attire. Here's one of Adrian's favorite workout routines:
He stands in front of a 30" platform with 40 lbs. of dumbell in EACH hand and proceeds to jump / hop up on the platform and back down. That's jump not step.![]()
The guy's from another planet.
That was definitely the same year.Tom, I remember the Greg Pruitt near-Heisman year--hate to bring this up, but it's part of OU-NU rivalry history--wasn't that the year Johnny Rogers won the Heisman amid a firestorm of controversy concerning his off-field "activities'?
Hey Teri, Who is going to replace Troy Smith next year? I havent heard any talk about it yet..just curious.![]()
Hi Tim, I haven't heard anything at all. I hope they have a better year than UT did after Vince Young left.
so congrats troy smith!
Teri, if you're out there, I just found something that you might like. I was paying bills (My FAVORITE pastime) and either just noticed or made the connection that my house insurance is with BUCKEYE Mutual Insurance! If that's not supporting the Buckeyes, I don't know what is! Go Huskers!
Hi Terry, How funny!!!! See you have been a BUCKEYE fan longer than you knew!!!After the championship game I might have to send you a couple of real BUCKEYES!!!

Our year was going pretty well ..until the wheels fell off in Kansas.Colt was "clicking his heels" and saying "there's no place like home"

From USA Today a few years ago...
It's a statistical fact that Notre Dame is the most over-ranked team in the country, year in and year out.
They did analysis of all Division I schools based on their pre-season ranking and their end of year ranking. Notre Dame was the worst of all the schools!
They also noted that Notre Dame's end of season ranking was probably unduly higher simply because of their initial rankings.
I think 2007 is gonna be Colt's year!!! Look out for the Longhorns next season!!! Yes, that is coming from a BUCKEYE fan!!!![]()
