yea your right Terry....unfortunately we don't see the powerhouses of Troy, Nichols St and Lousiana Tech like your huskers did.....man did we luck out not having to play those juggernauts :rolleyes:

The winner of the Heisman Trophy will be announced this Saturday, of course I am pretty sure it will be Troy Smith of the #1 OHIO STATE BUCKEYES, what do ya'll think??? Since I don't think we have any Arkansas fans, what do our two Notre Dame fans think???? Does Brady Quinn have a chance????:rolleyes:

Well put, Mike! I deserved that one! As far as the Huskers schedule goes, we DID play some tough teams this season, but we most generally lost to them! And for what it's worth, the Troy and LT games were kinda embarrassing. I was mortified when the Big Red press machine spent a week touting how "tough" Nichols st. is this year!!!!

Point well taken and a well-worded response!! Touche. Keep 'em coming!

News Flash!! I just heard from Teri that Troy is going to win the Heisman!! See, we did play some tough.....just a minute, this just in to Husker central--that's Troy Smith that is going to win the Heisman, not the whole team from Troy. Never mind..........

and to answer Dr. Sewell's question...no Brady Quinn has no shot at winning the heisman....he laid an egg against Michigan and the only shot he had at regaining some consideration was to lead the golden domers to a victory over that team thats named after condoms (:p ) but unfortunately we all know how that turned out :(
 
No knock on Troy Smith but I think its a bit of a weak class this year. He should and will win it hands down.

Quinn stunk vs Michigan and didn't do enough against usc to catch up.

Mcfadden form Arkansas is good but didn't do enough against usc (47 yards) and Florida (73 yds)

Hart from Michigan wasn't high enough on the contenders list to begin the season and despite being on 43 yards behind Mcdadden, he's basically an afterthough. His worst game all season was 91 yds against Wisconsin. He would be second on my ballot

Slaton ran up big yards against alot of medicore teams, plus having White in the backfield steals some of his thunder.

Colt Brennan from Hawaii and Jarett Dillard of Rice (he's caught a td in everygame this year and has 20td's on the season) should get more consideration but being from smaller schools they'll get snubbed.
 
McFadden was injured at the start of the season & got injured again in the Florida game. He will be a monster next year.

Troy Smith has that college star quality, that playmaker style, like Vince Young!!!

That doesn't necessary translate to NFL success, but as far as heisman voting this year, Troy Smith is the hands down winner!!

Yeah, I agree with all that. It's too bad that Adrian Peterson got hurt this year. He definitely would've given Troy a run for his money.
 
The big question is who goes #1 in the draft.

Unfortunetly my Lions appear headed for the number 1 pick,(and my equally loved Raiders #2) which means as long as Millen is in town that he will completely blow the pick.

Quinn or Smith? Not sure if Smith would get enough love here in Michigan
 
I could be wrong but I believe they only invited Smith, Quinn and Mcfadden to NY. Don't they normally go with 5 invitations? If so that shows just how weak the field is this year. I do however think Hart should be going even though he didn't have a chance.

I thought the same thing, that they usually went with 5.
The pickings must of been slim this year BUT at least a BUCKEYE is gonna win it!!!
