Pomona Crowd...

It would be interesting if they could put a Lights Out, door slammer event in Pomona this spring and see what the crowd is like. Then again, west coasters may not be into that like the rest of the country.

I didn't go and I'm glad I didn't between my kidney stones and the bad weather down there but yeah you are right a few new look cars but not many. No Larry Dixon either. It's musical chairs again with a couple more cars pulled out of the mix. It's now a few super teams and a few independents, and a very predicable outcome. The super teams beat on the little teams and then the super teams make it to the finals and race each other.

Larry was there..... we said "hi" at El Merendero before heading over to the track. :D
Sadly, he was not driving.......

With the amount of rain So-Cal has had this winter and the forecast for this past weekend I can understand why some fans decided not to show up.
The forecast was not for the faint of heart for sure. But against our better judgment we headed up Friday anyway and were rewarded with no rain until about 4:30. Saturday was out due to a prior commitment, but Sunday was a perfect day for racing.

I went Sunday. My wife bought us TEC tickets for the one day. I will say for $155 each plus $15 to park it was a tough pill to swallow. Food was Okay but, the tiny old flat screens on the walls were embarrassingly bad. I can honestly say that the TEC was fun but, in hindsight, not worth the money. No goodie bag unless you buy the 4 day package, BOOOOO. I'll be back in a reserved seat next time.

My seat for second round, about 900'.

Weather report for Saturday said rain in the morning with rain returning in the afternoon. It never returned in the afternoon, thankfully. Likely kept everyone away.

Rain check policy was if Saturday was rained out your ticket would be good for next year but not for reentry on Sunday.
