In case no one gets this thread, it's about Dancing With The Stars, on ABC, and Helio Castroneves of IRL racing is pretty awesome, according to the wife in the living room. I checked it out, and she's right, again! She always is. But, she also says that Marie Osmond has too many fans to lose the competition. We need a drag racer on there next year, who do you suggest? Larry Dixon? Tony Schumacher? Nahhhhh. Our heroes wouldn't be able to take the time off needed to practice and compete. Well, Baze could do it, and he's athletic enough to win.

Hey Bob Cole, you sure that 800 # is correct?

She's been voting for Helio since week one and I watched last night and he was hands down the best.
 
Yeah...a drag racer for next season!! I like it!

You know...that's something I would like to see Grubby do....and I bet he would be a scream!!
 
Wife, the eldest and his wife, are downstairs waiting for Dancing with Wolves to start...

Having spent several years taking Ball Room Dancing classes as a kid (9 thru 14) I tend to agree with the Panel on the show or two I catch a season...

but the show is just that, a show... when the best dancer on a given night is booted by a lower scoring dancer because of who she is, and if someone like Jerry S could go as long as he did last season... it's just a show, not about who's best...

gee, guess I look at Competition and Show biz as two completely different things...

well I understand that,but at the same time last night was a bit embarrassing for Marie I think. There are two or 3 others that are better than her . Marie is the spokesperson for a charity that has been sending out 2 million emails a week asking people to vote for her.

At least Jerry Springer displayed humility. Marie seems to think she deserves being in the final .

Anyway she's out, Helios in the final 2. I think he should win but the Spice Girl has been pretty darn good too.

And so you know, I've been watching this since it started. I think it's great.

I 'd love to see a drag racer on there, and why not being on our network.

I suppose it would be too greedy to ask for Tommy and Melanie both.;)

Scelzi's funny but I've seen his 'cartwheel' :D
 
The only season I really got into was the one that Emmitt Smith won. He was awesome! I'll vote for Helio.....well, cuz of motorsports. I couldn't force myself to vote for a Spice Girl anyway. ICK!
 
I would love to see one of the ladies of drag racing make it on the show. I think that they would fare better than the guys, last longer and therefore give more publicity to drag racing.

Lets get Hillary, Ashley or Angelle on the show.


Glad Helio won. Yes I do watch but after Sabrina got bounced I did lose interest. Not that I was a fan of hers but because she was the best dancer. If they count her expericence against her then how did Mel B make it through.

I wish the fan vote didn't count as much. Marie was great but no way was she top 3, seems to cheapen the competition when it becomes mainly a popularity contest.

Scary that more people vote on shows like this an american idol then will vote in next years presidential elections.
Maybe we need to change the voting process have American Idol President or Dancing with the President :)
