How can Aaron Polburn have more votes than the Shoe? Most people have never even heard of Aaron Polburn!

LOL - first round currently Shirley versus Roy Hill and Gary Scelzi versus Animal Jim. OR Pat Musi versus Larry Morgan.

Who can tell the best ? I voted for Steve Earwood. He and Densmore were the men and new how to promote. Love to have been a fly on the wall on many of thier pre race trips.
Most people on the list can probobly tell a great many stories- names excluded, maybe, as many raced in the late 60's and 70's . That was the height of the match race years where they all made their bones.
Looking forward to this whole thing as it should be entertaining!

Currently we have a big in the software that should be soon fixed that shows results following a vote. We are just voting to seed the field. The competition of story telling begins on Monday morning.

Steve Earwood is a great guy. I tried to get Densmore to participate, but his hectic schedule made it impossible, but his main man Force is #1 and unless Earwood gets some votes -- he's Force first round. I've seen Earwood's first round story, I think he'll hold his own. It's hilarious. So is Force's. I have to admit though Scelzi's might lay down low elapsed time.

I believe you are right Karl.

The book Matchrace Madness, by Grady Bryant, has some amazing stories. Like when Burkhart blew the rear end in his ramp truck, so he rented a U-Haul, swapped the pumpkins on the side of the road in the middle of the night and left the U-Haul there with a blown rear end. He ended up getting busted because his sponsors name was painted down the sides of the ramp truck.:D
