I just learned that my friend, Danielle, is having breast cancer surgery on July 3. Her mother died from breast cancer as it had spread to other organs. She is having a liver biopsy also.

Please keep Danielle and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I've known Danielle for 52 years.

Thankfully, we have come a long way in the detection and treatment of this horrible disease.

I'm sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you with the results of Danielle's breast cancer surgery, but with the Library being closed for 3 days, I couldn't find a suitable place to use the wi-fi.

I spoke with Rich on Saturday evening and he said the surgery went well, and the lymph nodes were cancer free.

We all thank you for your thoughts and prayers for Danielle.
