Norwalk in Trouble

For God's sake I hope this event isn't moved back to National Trails. That place is a dump, where Norwalk is a first class facility.

Here in Ohio I've spoken to many that say Norwalk just doesn't have the spirit
That Columbus had and I agree.

Columbus was recently bought by the company that currently owns Topeka. They have Scott Garnier, former Cordova owner, overseeing both tracks now. I would guess by 2020, Columbus will be a killer track again.

"Among the extensive updates and improvements planned for National Trail Raceway are concrete repair & replacement on the race surface, along with a full track grind, delaying the start of the 2017 season. Once the race surface is ready for competition, attention will turn to the rest of the facility, as extensive paving, lighting and grandstand upgrades are planned to commence."

He won't shut it down. If anything, he drops the poles to approved heights and adds a few more to keep the area lit well.

What about the shut off at Natl Trail? Wasn't that the track that had a road at the end of the shut off area? Cops had to stop traffic when fuel cars ran just in case.

yup, goes across the road into the farmers field, like Norwalk goes into the airport, minus crossing the road.

Summit Motorsports Park and the Ohio Dept. of Transportation will fund a study to look at possible solutions involving three light poles on the park’s property that are in proximity to the Huron County Airport, but as an immediate step, the light poles will be marked with red beacons and striped with reflective tape to ensure visibility for pilots approaching the Huron County airport. See, I knew something could be worked out. The polls are not in direct flight path so there has to be reasonable avenues of compromise.

maybe the airport should at least develop an east/west flyway corridor with absolutely no deviation north or south inline
with the air strip; extending for at least 1 mile to east and west of air strip.......would prevent a plane taking off west to east from immediately turning, notably to the right.
