Leave it to NHRA to screw up a good thing. Heck, this should almost be mandatory at the national events.

I hope they get the situation figured out. We run the gameboy and the USB version with Crew Chief Pro . . . however I often just export the information to Excel for some interesting analysis. You can built a significant history of timeslips for a broad spectrum of cars in a very short period of time. I wish they'd throw the information up as a national database . . . I could waste tons of time bench racing with that!

From a spectator standpoint I occasionally get frustrated by the short amount of time they leave the latest "timesheet" up on the gameboy. Typically more of a problem at local tracks. But I found out that this is controlled in the tower, and typically a polite complaint or two can get the screen hold time extended enough to show your spouse/friends before the screen blanks for the next race.

Jeff, to lock in a screen hold the Select button down. It will hold on whatever's on till you let go.

Thanks for the tip Joe. A buddy of mine of who is a statistic/gadget freak picked up an Icard last year after getting hooked on mine. He's gonna be ticked off {me too} if he doesn't get to use it in St. Louis!

They're still showing it as compatible with NHRA races on their website. Hope it stays that way. Not blaming anyone or pointing fingers, I just want mine to work!

This isn't the first disagreement between Icard and NHRA. I bought a card the first time they were available to use at turnaround since I had to direct the winning car to the ESPN camera and several of the tracks had no win lights we could see from the top end. When the next season started there was no indication on the Icard website that NHRA would continue its use. I sent them an email to ask if NHRA races would be available and received a phone call from the company president. He said that there had been a problem because they were late paying NHRA their fee and had since cought up with payment and wanted NHRA to know that people other than fans were using the card. He asked me to send a letter to Glendora, which I did. Don't know if my email had any effect, I doubt it, but the card was restored to use since then.

I have been unsucessful in trying to reach(Icard) them since July 07 have had problems with my unit I tried using it again this weekend testing with no results but that was not the cards fault just not broadcasting @ track

I'd love to see if my Icard worked this weekend - but it was never returned after being sent in for repair 11 months ago. No reply to phone messages and emails.

When I bought my icard I had to almost beg them to send it. Crazy! It was a long drawn out process of... surprise... poor communications with the customer. It finally worked out though.

Although the icard is advertised to work at Indycar events it did not work at either IRL event I attended last year.

It's sure a great information blast at the drag races though. I hope this all gets resolved.
