NHRA's New TV package (2 Viewers)

Martin, you may not realize their are two threads going on here. The slowing down being referred to is some joking going on because another poster is claiming two moderators are purposely slowing his computer down so he can't get 1st place in the Pick The Winner game!

Back to the New TV Package. Don't know how you watch Nhra but many of us are complaining about the production on Nhra.TV. The three announcers often are talking or music is playing when we should be hearing the sounds of the cars, burnouts, the cackling nitro cars pulling up to the line etc. And the sound is subpar in all classes. I think it was back in the ESPN days when you were instructed to turn up your volume just before the tree was activated and not one word until they were coasting with the chutes out. I don't get Fox so I don't know if it's different but wouldn't Nhra be using the Fox equipment? I started watching on TNN and Diamond P Sports and those shows are still on Youtube and you can hear the difference. I realized what we were missing when I started watching Clay Millican's and now Rob Wendland's homemade Youtube videos. Clay for sure has a microphone or microphone's in his dragster, you can even hear the sound the rear end makes at the top end. These guys are not using super "high tech" equipment, it's how it's being used and it

I never said they were trying to keep me from playing,i said they were trying to make it hard to play bc of the slow loading due to 1 admin on here. Its no wonder crap starts on here like it does

The only thing I will fight you on with this is that technology is moving at the speed of light in that field.... Broadcast audio will be impeccable in years, but noticeably different in two. Lets hope this is adopted by Fox, CW, NHRA or Flo to bring that experience into your space.
You're not wrong but none of that will matter without bandwidth to transmit and better equipment on our end to receive it. I can tell a big difference after getting fiber optic over a 5G cable modem with co-ax. We'll have to adapt too.

I think he meant slowing down the website and his connection, not his actual laptop or phone or whatever. I've read other things previously about XenForo causing odd and rare issues with boards it runs on and certain connections. Assuming the mods are using XenForo. Admit I didn't fully understand it, it's all way above my pay grade though, I don't know that technical stuff.

Brian, I watch Fox on Sundays, due to time constraints. The best thing is the 4K quality video (much higher contrast than the excellent .TV quality) Bad is the constant yap and recapping, audio is maybe 5% better but often out of sync and turning up volume only means more announcer interference. 3 hr show is really about an hour or so of racing, everything else is blab and recap.
Can't say which is better, they are both clueless, but you do get more in depth interviews and action from .TV, (censorship of crashes is disgusting) if they had audio like Clay's, Rob's or Monday Morning Racer I would say .TV, but they don't
