I for one, have pretty much given up on ESPN2. I don't even bother with it anymore.

have also been wondering lately about streaming live video. IMO it's too early (3-5 years?) to abandon cable.
(cut-the-cord is the PC term i believe?).....cable is on the way out, streaming video will only expand exponentially
in the near future (it already is)......is a niche' sport like NHRA drag racing ripe for this application?
could NHRA stream the races (live if they choose) for a lot less than paying ESPN?.....i don't know but i would think so?

how many of us watch the youtube videos of nhra events the day after....KMAN posts all the qualifying thru elims.
I would think soon we may be tuning into youtube, or similar, for the actual race. Google owns youtube and is not
too far out with their 'google fiber' technology......tv is going to change bigtime and NHRA mite be the better for it.

BangShift... Streaming live events, and done on the cheap, and is FREE... Hey NHRA- give these guys 10Mil (a bargain) and some all-access passes- they seem to know how to make it work from 2 cameras and a laptop with a web hookup..

for sure martin, the bangshift events are definitely a sneak peek to the future of accessing digital entertainment,
look what netflix, hulu and amazon are doing in the movie industry.

Bangshift and Mark from Dragstory are very good with their stuff. ESPN3 is Solid though.

I just watched the 20 years of the UFC Special on FS1 a couple days ago, Dana White and the Fertitas talked about how they paid Spike TV to do the Ultimate Fighter season 1 as really a last resort with the brand and it was a big success. NHRA is not in a position to do something like that. They need coverage, they can't pay for it.
