This is late news. Just found out that Michael Sassa, Ige & Sassa JR/F, passed away in Jan 2023. I well remember that team. They won JR/F at Bakersfield one year. Jimmy Ige the driver.

This is late news. Just found out that Michael Sassa, Ige & Sassa JR/F, passed away in Jan 2023. I well remember that team. They won JR/F at Bakersfield one year. Jimmy Ige the driver.

They were a major contender in the SoCal Jr.Fuel class. Their Woody car was bought from George Cerny Sr who had Woody build him a super light car. Dave Cerny painted the car for Ige & Sassa, he passed away in early February of this year.
