Michael Phillips' Challenge

You just watch; Now that this has been made public, we'll see how long the sanctioning body takes to mandate use of wheelie bars in PSM. ;)

Shoulda' kept this one under wraps until it was time, MP!

Michael or Chip would hand everybody else in the class their butts if they raced with no bars. I'd love to see this race go down! :D

With all the fuss they put into their clutch set up, I'm wondering how it would take to being slipped for 200ft.

Sam, I doubt he would flip over backwards. Its not the kids first rodeo

go to youtube and look up Mike, or Shine, or Ricky Gadson. these guys can ride no bar bikes pretty damn fast.

I'll take Mike in that race :)

Don't those "no bar" bikes have some crazy extended wheelbase that makes them stable enough to run with no wheelie bars?

I think Andrew Hines said on an NHRA telecast a couple of years ago that PSB's can't run without bars 'cause they would blow over re: Gary Tonglet at Rockingham.

The Pro Street bikes are 68" wheelbase and running 7.10s @ 200+ mph on a much smaller DOT tire, that's shorter than a PSM which is 70".

Tonglet went over backwards because he was'nt riding the bike like one would with no bars, two totally different riding styles and he was'nt expecting it.

Here's for the doubters: at the MIROCK FBG Fall Nationals, in Pro Street, Dimey Eddinger ran 205 mph earlier today. Ryan Schnitz just ran a 6.90 @ 203 mph! Those numbers are on DOT tires with no wheelie bar.
Schnitz makes history,is first into 6 second zone! Runs a 6.90! | Dragbike Live.com- News In The World of Motorcycle Drag Racing!
