This is one reason it is dying, if in fact it is. Someone who knows, just tried to explain what happens when you put a taller gear in a fuel car, and that is just not the kind of thing to post here.
Instead we need to know who is going to a barbeque.

So I didn't really kill the board? Up 22%? Must be because we post real names!
Jim
Just start a new thread. I'm sure VH would be happy to respond.
.
Jay, if that is in response to the question, "who's going to ABQ", that's hilarious! Unless I missed something...
NOW the thread has been totally derailed...by the BAZUMBAS!!

I have nothing of substance to contribute...just didn't want the Mater to die.
Some bazumbas are pure substance.
Are you going to be going to ABQ this weekend?

ABQ = Albuquerque. It's a city. In New Mexico. USA.![]()
Good Job Joe!
I'm just too busy most of the time to get on much. Besides, some of the negativity just got to me.
Are you going to be going to ABQ this weekend?
And, there is a track there, where people like to race. I have no beef with that.
The Drags, Yes! I'll go Sunday, Jim Costa was on 94 Rock this morning, plus they have been advertising more than I've ever heard in recent years!
And welcome to another derailed thread on Nitromater.![]()
Just like when any group of Friends sit around and shoot the.... breeze...
and that's why the 'Mater will never die.

Dunno why, but I think I expected a site that was more heavily-weighted with technical information and with discussions of the nuts and bolts of drag racing as it involves Fuel racing (that's the "NITRO" part.) My mistake.
For sure, there are people on this BB who are definitely qualified to discuss that material at length. I expected threads, for example, on the mechanical changes effected by the switch to a 1,000-foot tuneup, discussions on how to deal with reducing the comparatively lengthy reaction times associated with the clutch systems in use in Fuel cars, and perhaps, some intelligent questions and answers regarding the unnecessarily restrictive rules that prevent any real technological progress with regard to changes to Fuel motors.
If you find a forum like that that is easily accesable let me know , I have been looking for the same thing . Believe me I wish I could befriend a crew chief so that I could be a sponge for that kind of information.
Weeellllll, Q, I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but I was just doing some reading on another thread, and according to one poster, there is only one female that has been born with the talents to be a driver.....sorry, but I guess that's the way it goes..Virgil,
WAAAAAY COOOOOL!!! Thanks for getting the ball rolling! I am stoked!!! You ROCK!!!![]()
