Yep, Connie had the chassis company that used to build his cars tahat he later bought.
build special shipping frames to secure the caskets for the job.
I would love Connie to publish a book of his life. There're got to be stories that would make us laugh & cry.

Interesting how a man can have a reputation for being so tough but also have a heart of gold. How many injured Nhra drivers and their families has he flown?

I think some of us have forgotten that when 911 happened the only planes left flying were Air Force one, its fighter escorts and a Kalitta Air 747. Says a lot about “being connected”. Some other times make you go WOW are - Let's not forget that during the 1991 Gulf War, Kalitta Air flew over 600 cargo missions for the U.S. military. Resulting in Connie’s recognition at the White House from President George H.W. Bush. In 2018 a Boeing 737 from Kalitta Charters was used to retrieve diplomatic personnel from Moscow. Again in 2024, Kalitta Air was involved in transporting weapons from the US to Israel. Don’t mess with Connie! I was one of the people at the hotel in Indy when the desk clerk refused to tell Connie what rooms his team was in. But that is an entirely different story. THANK YOU Connie for all you have done and continue to do!

There are so many rescue missions that Kallita Air and Doug's medical planes that are never known about, you would be shocked.
Plus Kallita Air also transports US military equipment and ammunition and have for many years.

PS: I was the west coast landing gear rep, and took many needed parts to Connie at Pomona many times.

Kalitta amd Atlas Air are huge defense contractors. Way more cost effective than operating those flights “in-house.”

they took delivery of the last 747 ever manufactured.
