I'll repeat what I said and I wish it was one of the poll options. NHRA pays Don the same amount of money they expected him to pay if they were wrong.
I went round and round with NHRA over a dragster chassis design that was legal when some inspectors initially took the SFI sticker off (one of them being the same inspector who put it on in the first place!). While we waited for the technical review board to give us a final answer, it remained a private issue.
All this knee jerk business over nitro reminds me of when I was waiting in line to pay for diesel at a Flying J truckstop a few years ago. An owner-operator in front of me asked if he could drop his trailer for a couple hours so he could go have some badly needed work done. The cashier's answer? "No, we're not allowed to let you do that since 9/11."
I said "There you go. The terrorists have won. The little guy is now paying for their actions." As if Achmed is going to have his plans foiled when he comes in with a bomb loaded trailer but, doesn't manage to pull off blowing up the truckstop because he's gonna go in and ASK before he drops the trailer? WTF?
Achmed also can't figure out to buy two drums of nitro if one now won't complete his recipe? We pay how much in tax money for suits to come up with this BS? How about they do what we've already been paying tax money for and start protecting the border so Achmed can't just walk in here in the first f$%&#@ing place!
Joe,
How do you feel that this will end?
Do you think is will be handled in this or that manner and why.
/ OR
do you see another faction that helps it play out a different way
