I will be the first to say on NitroMater, Get well Soon!! Hope to read about you back in action before the weekend is over.

Kinda scary Nancy..."Glidden collapsed after climbing out of his Ford Mustang after the first pass of the weekend, hitting his head on the pavement."

I sure hope to GOD he is 100% before getting back into the car. Please get better Mr. Glidden.

UPDATE: From Bill Glidden posted on a really cool website of a different color...

"At the end of the run there was fire coming from the headers, they asked him to start the car and he was not understanding and got out quickly, then I guess blacked out? So far the reports are he is fine, and has a big head gash. I will report if anything comes up, thanks, BG"

Thoughts go out to Bob - hopefully the head gash is the most serious problem.
Common sense on the part of everyone involved should prevail here.

Billy later reported
"Just got off the phone with Dad. He sounds fine, but he has hit his head really hard from the fall, so he will be out for this event. He is being kept tonight just for safety, then he comes home. Thankns to everyone, it really makes Dad and I glad he has so many people keeping an eye out for him,BG "

Good to hear!! Thanks for posting this update :-)

Glad to hear Bob is doing well and is going to be fine. Hate to see him have to go home, and just when he got the car to run well enough to potentially qualify. Hope the bump is quicker than Bob's 6.666, I'd hate to see him put it all together and then this happens. I know it's early to speculate, but what are Bob's plans for 2011, driving, tuning, both, or none of the above?

Jim Cunningham said Bob was released from the hospital today. Jerry Haas will be driving that Mustang for Bob.:)

Great to see the old pro out and resting.
Any bets as to wether he'll get the message and hang up the nomex & helmet for good?

Of course it's his call. But I'd love to see him stay at the shop and work on horsepower full time....and get some sleep every night. To BG, working 12-14 hours would be like a part-time job.

There was a blurb last night on the NHRA site (interactive section) that Bob has to watch his potassium, it says from him, that focusing on the car so much, he didn't watch it as closely as he normally does, and that's what caused him to go down.

Thank goodness he's okay! :-)
