This purse conversation is beating a dead horse, what is 30% less to win when it is not even $50 K normally. If every one, in every class, was more like WJ, you would probably never see a full field again.

being only 2 qualifying runs vs 4 and assuming u make all the runs the purse now is better
if u end up 1st round r/u or even make it to 2nd round
before u make 5 runs for 10k = 2k per run
now u make 3 runs for 7.5k = 2.5k per run
before 2nd round is 6 runs for 14k = 2.3k per run
now 2nd round is 4 runs for 10k = 2.5k per run
this is just the money available nothing taken out like everything and then some to get there
the only way to make any money in racing nitro is to have many sponsors lol
so hats off to all the sponsors that make dragracing possible !!!

if you only made 2 qualifying runs before you're now down. A lot of small teams did that in the past. Either way is a losing proposition for competitors. You have to have deep pockets or some sponsorship to play.

mello yello contribution to annual purse money is already small. split it up among 4 pro classes and it's smaller, take 30% away and there's not much left.
PSB and PS should find their own money to enable them to race at nat. events (example: E3 promod) ......HD is already a natural choice for PSB.
