Anybody have pics from Force's show this past Sunday? He usually gets a ton of cars to show up.

Here are some photos and a story on the 15th annual John Force Racing Holiday Car Show.

And a few more on Facebook

and the latest recreation out of JFR:

I was there with my 1954 Corvette.

Due to the weather the car count may have been held back but the crowd looked very strong to me. Alan Reinhart was the MC, and the band was great. For a second there I thought the Eagles showed up. Then CCR, the Beach Boy's, etc.

I have to say kudo's to all the car owners who braved the weather. I spent a lot of time getting my car ready for the show, and when I woke up at 5:00 AM Sunday to head for the shop to go get it and saw the wet streets I started having second thoughs about going and chancing a downpour on my car. My wife was surprised to see me go. But in my mind this was for the kids, and since there are no parts on my car that will melt if they get wet, I was going.

Turned out it only sprinkled a few times all day. At about 3:00 when they started handing out the awards it started raining. I made it back to the shop safe and sound and spent about an hour or so drying it out.

There was a huge pile of toys collected and I know that will translate in to lots of smiles on Christmas Day. Kudos to the Force camp for putting this all together.

Randy's Corvette was picked as one of the "Best of Show" winners. And believe me at that show that ain't easy.

One day I'd like to make it to this show. Unfortunately, there's always a conflict of scheduling.

With that said, beautiful car Randy. I love the color combination.

Wow, thanks everyone. I spent several years on it like a scavenger hunt looking for original parts to return it to an "as it left the factory" restoration. Not many realize these first Corvettes were all 6 volt, came with a six cylinder engine with three side draft carburetors and a cast iron powerglide transmission. I can't even charge my cell phone in the cigarette lighter socket.

Force's car show brings out the best of the best as far as cars is concerned. I guess the $20 bill with the chocolate chip cookie on it sitting on the valve cover when the judges came by paid off.:D

All kidding aside, if you ever get the chance to go it's a real treat. Some of those paint jobs and restorations are over the top. Kinda like an art exhibit for gear heads. Jay Leno usually has a car or two of his there. And, most important, it's for a good cause.
