Wow, thanks everyone. I spent several years on it like a scavenger hunt looking for original parts to return it to an "as it left the factory" restoration. Not many realize these first Corvettes were all 6 volt, came with a six cylinder engine with three side draft carburetors and a cast iron powerglide transmission. I can't even charge my cell phone in the cigarette lighter socket.
Force's car show brings out the best of the best as far as cars is concerned. I guess the $20 bill with the chocolate chip cookie on it sitting on the valve cover when the judges came by paid off.
All kidding aside, if you ever get the chance to go it's a real treat. Some of those paint jobs and restorations are over the top. Kinda like an art exhibit for gear heads. Jay Leno usually has a car or two of his there. And, most important, it's for a good cause.
