This is my 28th Straight Indy! Damn time flys...
i get indy. i get the history. i get the large car counts. i get it.
what i don't get is......after running this race for all these years and knowing full well that oildowns, accidents, and weather are almost a sure bet to mess up the schedule.....
- why add top dragster and top sportsman? (and even pro mod has only been on program for so many years)
- why add all the exhibition cars? (i think there were gassers that were supposed to run?, but they didn't?
- because someone had brite idea to put greg a. and wj in street camaros for exhibition, which turned into complete waste of time, and i think deleted gassers show that day? or weekend?
when you have huge car counts in S, SS, SG & SC, and there is the indy tradition of running S & SS class on friday, IMO there needs to be a limit as to how much you can possibly
expect to run and complete in 6 days. at least the former big bud and traxxas shootouts were blended in perfectly with regularly scheduled Q.
