No one in the Army is a "Sarge."
There are Privates, Privates First Class, Specialists, Sergeants, Staff Sergeants, Sergeants First Class, Master Sergeants, First Sergeants, Sergeants Major, Warrant Officers, Chief Warrant Officers, Lieutenants, Captains, Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, Colonels, and General Officers.
No Sarge.
You must be thinking of Beetle Bailey.
