Dean's Dixie State Tournament Update

Well, we lost Game 1 on Saturday. We were winning 6-2 and the other team came back to beat us 6-7 in the bottom of the 6th. A couple of throwing errors with the bases loaded by the pitcher did us in. They boys handled it pretty well....they understand you lose as a team.

They went out yesterday and won Game 2 in great style……2-10! We’ve had 2 homers in each of the first 2 games. We play Game 3 today at 5:30. We are playing the team we beat twice in the District Tournament. So, if the boys don’t get too cocky we’ve got a chance.

I'm so proud of all of them! They took it like true champs. The other parents kept commenting on how polite and respectful our kids and us parents were to them all three times we played that particular team in both District and State. I'm proud of all of us! We're good people.

Fairfield (the team that knocked us out) won their game last night and advanced to the next round. I'm sooooo rooting for them to win this whole tournament now!
