Daytona 500!

NASCAR wants to call this "their Superbowl". I think the monicker definitely fits. Three and a half hours of pre-race bs followed by 170 of the most boring laps run at Daytona since 2000. YouTube - dale sr mad after 2000 daytona 500 The last thirty laps didn't make it one of the greatest ever. On the bright side, no Busch brother won.

I thought it was good racin', I enjoyed Ryan coming from nowhere to win it, I was pulling for JR but after not pitting for tires I knew He didn't have anything for them, I'm glad He got a top 10 though. How anyone could think it was boring is a mystery to me, they should watch golf, that was a great race.

Agreed Kenny...lot's of action and what a finish. How anyone could think the race was boring is beyond me.

I enjoyed the race. It appears the new cars add some stability..which avoided 'the big one' for the most part.

I was miffed as to why Jr didn't pit as well..might have been able to hook up with his teamate there at the end.

I heard much the same on local Charlotte (NASCAR country) sports radio on Monday. Can you much blame a driver for finally deciding to save his $200,000 car until the last 50 laps. I can't! I was a good race.
