I never saw a wink of TV coverage (I'm on vacation in Florida). But I of course followed online how my favorite top fueler and nitro funny car fared

But when I heard ML finally won one this morning, a big smile was on this 'Mater's face! I love seeing new winners!

The Lucas family is... awesome. Just think... what if Forest had decided to ... instead of motor oil .... what if he decided to get into say, .... I don't know.... like, the chewing gum market??? How lucky are WE??? Instead of the Lucas Oil Empire... we could all be talking about fresh mint gum that doesn't stick to dentures !!!!

Good job - this one was a long time coming.

But he never replaced the one thing that has kept him from having more Top Fuel wins

In your opinion this is the case. Since Morgan runs the show he has the right to do whatever he wants. This is a thread congratulating Morgan and his team, so stick to the subject and not turn this into a bash fest.
