Congrats Angelle

Congratulations to Ms. Angelle! I think the fact that little Ava Jane's arrival coincided with the start of the 2011 Gators couldn't have been more timely and, given the direction that she (Ms. Angelle) has chosen in life, nothing short of fantastic!

@ Maw Maw Tootsie...with all of the things that your daughter has done over the years to make you proud, I can't help but think that the birth of your granddaughter has got to make you, far and away, proudest of all.

God bless you and yours.

Congratulations Angelle.

Time to start planning though, Ava can start Jr. Dragsters when she is 8 and believe me, those years will fly by fast.

Thanks everybody! Like my mom said, I am the happiest I have ever been!! My baby girl just completed my life. I've never wanted anything as bad as I wanted her! I miss racing the prostock bike but this definitely fills any and all voids. I am so very blessed and so very content! Thank you all for the well wishes and all the congratulations. They are very much appreciated. I hope to get out to a race sometime this year to visit everyone and to show off my little girl. Until then,...

God Bless,

Angelle

I was looking for a place to click on 'like' but then I realized this wasn't facebook...:-)

congratulations !

Uh oh, that girls going to break a lot of hearts, she's already pretty at a time when most babies still look like only their momma will love them (that's what my kids looked like.)

Putting your girl into a race a car (or bike) will take some adjustment though.

I got my sons involved with quartermidgets when they were 6 and 7, we did that for 7 years and had a blast with it, its very competitive at the upper levels.

Ordering their first race suits was exciting, choosing the colors and styles, making sure to get extra safe ones.

But then there was the option at the bottom of the form to have their blood type embroidered on the suit.

Gulp.

She is adorable! (By coincidence, I am sitting here holding my baby girl wrapped in that same blanket!)

I've been meaning to post for a few days now. Congratulations Angelle! I am so happy for you. Even though I don't know you I always enjoyed watching you race and as a new mom myself (my sweet girl Lyla is 16 months old) I totally understand how you feel. I am just excited you get to experience being a mom. It really is the best thing I have ever done in my life. And Ava is adorable. Just adorable. What's awesome is that she will only get more beautiful and adorable as time goes on. :)

The best piece of advice anyone gave me before my daughter was born was:
"Everyone will tell you to sleep when the baby sleeps. Pee when the baby sleeps."

Yeah, that 'sleep when the baby sleeps' is a bunch of bull. Like I can flip a switch and fall asleep in an instant! She falls asleep and I'm like "Yes! Pee, shower, brush teeth, eat!"

Seriously. Napping is not something I do well so I went into 'get stuff done' mode. At least the first few months then it gets easier.
Wait. When did you acquire a little one? :D I clearly am not visiting enough. Point me to a thread if one exists, don't want to hijack this one too much.

Again, I'm just excited that someone amazing like Angelle is a mom, the world needs every great woman it can get to join the momma club so we can have amazing kids that grow up to do amazing things in life thereby making the world a better place. :)

January 29th, I don't think I openly stated anywhere on here, mostly on Facebook. I had a high risk pregnancy that ended with an emergency c-section a month early (thankfully only a month early, she kept trying to come before then). My daughter Adeline is six weeks old. I've had complications from the surgery (mostly due to the fact that I really suck at that whole "take it easy" directions) but my miracle is healthy, happy and beautiful :).

Sorry for the hijack!

Congratulations to you, too, then! :)

Yay, lots of beautiful little girls who will grow up loving drag racing. :D

Angelle, I used to say that all hospitals had one stock baby photo that passed out to all new parents because newborns all looked the same to me. Of course my opinion changed- not coincidentally- around the time I became a father... but I have to say, THAT is one cute baby! Congrats!
