They look very strong Tom! You think the college football thread is long now?? Last years was HUGE and it wasn't even started until October 19.

Maybe not Dave,
Most of the "super zealous" posters on it are Michigan or Notre Dame fans and they are both in for a quiet year at best. After last week and today the Nebraska fans will even stop waving their foam #1 hands and many others are following.

Bobby I'm one the "super zealous" Michigan posters. A "quiet year" may even be more cause for spirited discussion. Translation: I'm having to defend my Wolverines more than ever! You may be correct in regards to the actual fan bases but in the college football thread you won't find more dedicated fans than Mike (N.D.) and Terry (Huskers). That thread is a blast it will surpass last years before the seasons end.

Oh no I didn't. I was ignoring you! OK yes Teri you are one of the very loyal. However your loyalties are wacked but you're still a good friend. Actually Teri I was just replying directly to Bobby's comments regarding the support for Michigan and Notre Dame as a result of their down year. Also for Nebraska supporters following their defeat to USC. I didn't mean to imply that they are the only loyal supporters.

Absolutely right, Dave!!!! And Bobby, we here in corn land realize that our team may have some shortcomings right now, but at least the Ball St game ended in a W for us (however unimpressive) but hope springs eternal--remember, with no pro sports teams and no NHRA national events in Husker land, we gotta get on board with SOMETHING! So, I'm guessin' nobody is gettin rid of the foam fingers yet!
