CAGNAZZI RACING HOSTS OPEN HOUSE DURING SPEEDWEEK
MOORESVILLE, N.C.(May 21, 2007) -- Cagnazzi Racing will open its doors to
race fans and the media on Thursday, May 24 as part of SpeedWeek in
Mooresville, North Carolina. Home to one of the nation's premier Pro Stock
drag racing teams, this is a rare opportunity for race fans to see what it
takes to successfully compete on the 23-event NHRA POWERade circuit.
Cagnazzi Racing will also make a very important announcement at 10:30 am
regarding future plans for the championship contending team of Jeg Coughlin
Jr. and Dave Connolly. Both drivers will be in attendance at the event along
with the team's racing support vehicles, and the Speedco / JEGS midway
trailer.
Dave Connolly and Jeg Coughlin Jr. are currently placed second and third
respectively in the 2007 series title chase, separated by less than one
round of racing. The team is also coming off their first all-Cagnazzi final
round at the last event just outside of St. Louis, Mo. where Connolly edged
out Coughlin for the win.
Cagnazzi Racing is located at 312 Rolling Hill Rd. in Mooresville's Lakeside
Park, home to more than 20 NASCAR race teams. The technical and engineering
support and skills needed for success in all types of motorsports are easily
found in the Mooresville area explaining Mooresville's nickname, 'Race City
USA'.
During NASCAR Speed weeks Lakeside Park, boasts more than 250,000 unique
visitors per year. Most are race fans visiting the Charlotte area for the
races at Lowe's Motor Speedway and who also stop by to visit race teams and
their shops. Lakeside Park is easily accessible and adjacent to I-77 at exit
36.
