If you wake up with a hangover, do a 5 hour energy shot (has 5000% of your recommended daily allowance of B12) and drink a pint of water. You will feel better within 10 minutes. Or so I have been told :)

Yes mark, Vegas and Pomona are still in as of now. However we have to move the business before the end of the year, so I'm hopin I don't get stuck doing a move on a race weekend!

19 FC and 16 TF, not bad! The alcohol classes are light though. Why have those counts been going down so far in recent years? Are they switching to Pro Mod? Do you see Pro Mod becoming a full time class in the near future? Last time I saw a Pro Mod run Scotty Cannon was still the king.

Brainerd has always had light TAD/TAFC counts, and in this economy probably won't change.

can remember one year all the heavy hitters showed in MN, it was awesome;
must have been 16-20 per class........era of pat austin / brad anderson /
rick santos / tom conway /

did any of them make it up here in MN?

I can't remember the last time a TAD field was light.. seems only a couple years ago there were more then 20 of them.

TAFC has only been 1-2 cars short the last couple years, before that it was always full.

YouTube - 1988 North Star Nationals; Part 1
1:36 shows the chaos that used to be 'the zoo' with day parking
in large infield area

YouTube - 1988 North Star Nationals; Part 6
first few seconds shows old pro pit area and massive amounts of trees
along pro pit area before tornado remodeled area in early 90's.
used to camp literally rite next to pro pits; many used to compete
for camp spots next to only lone power pole with electric plug in.
'luv the smell of nitro in the morning' was the real deal
also in-track lake surrounded by trees and choked with weeds; now
completely surrounded by full hook-up camp sites.....beautiful.

how nuts are BIR regulars?

just talked to another regular that drove by track yesterday, the first camping
group is already in Tom Thumb parking lot.....(c-store next to main entrance)
