Bill Miller BME

IMO, this whole thread is out of line. And, the sport WILL miss his car if he's not out there. We need as many cars out there as possible, or there's no growth, just 16 cars shuffling around every week.
I agree with you. But to use the excuse he is, is his own doing, he can park it as far as I am concerned. It's petty whining at its best.

I root for the underdogs, but c'mon man. Quit blaming the government for all of your problems.

wow I am sorry I even said anything It is really easy for you to sit behind your keyboard and talk $hit.

Pretty sure you have no idea what it takes to run one of these cars and Bill does it as for a test bed for his racing product business.

Policies that will go into effect over the next 4 years have forced dramatically changes to how companies will continue to do business.

I'm not talking $hit, nor did I drag politics into this. You and Bill Miller did that.
I guess the outcome of the election only affected him, because I see more cars on entry lists than last year, know of more cars in the local area being built than last year, and see more money being spent on the sport than last year. And he is a DIRECT RECIPIENT of that money.

But poor ol' Bill....... We should all base our votes on if it means Bill Miller can go racing or not.

WOW I removed the post before your reply, since I figured it wasnt worth the direction this is going but your petty enough to continue this BME bashing. I never said it was whom was elected I said it was outcome.

And with only 2 races so far you have surmised that the car counts for the entire year are up, and actually that statement is false in pro categories.
TF is up and FC is down if you want to know the facts.

I know they are for the first two races, yes.

Bottom line, it is wrong for him to bring his BS reasoning into this, but when he does, he opens himself to criticism, regardless of whether or not some like it. Frankly, if times are so tough on him since November, he should sell his stuff to someone who can afford to run it. They might actually qualify the car and he can focus on his business.

You are way out of line! First of HE didnt come on here and say anything I gave an explanation from what I had been told, MY MISTAKE! at which I removed my direct reply to you but you want to keep this going.
It is becoming apparent what side of the political fence you lean on but that's your business and I will leave it at that.

I'm out of line?

YOU are the one who made the statement, as if speaking for him. So if ANYONE is out of line, it is you. You pulled something out of your a$$ and posted it here for all to see. So own it.

You shouldn't be making statements about why someone isn't racing in the first place, so drop the fake outrage.

And as for my political leanings, I didn't drag the election into this, you did. And don't worry about who I vote for. Its of no concern of yours.

Look Mr Moon I believe that is what I just said! I made the comment It was my mistake I did own it. As to your electoral choices I never said it was my concern.

Have a nice day I am done.

Sorry, hate to interject the facts, into an otherwise healthy debate.

But, in being a good friend, of Mr. Miller, he'd asked me to come on here and speak for him.

To those who say his participation is due to a lost election, this is false. In Miller's word, "Elections are won and lost, no big deal." This certainly does not have a role in his decision to sit out Pomona and Phoenix.

What does have a role is the combination of other scenarios. Number one, Miller's team is behind in technology. If you don't have the latest Alan Johnson cylinder heads, you are behind the eight ball before you unload the car. In his words, "I see no sense in coming to a race with outdated technology, and very little chance to qualify."

To rectify this, Millar now has 20 of the AJPE heads.

Secondly, business is down, and we have lost a couple of key employees before the season began, one who joined another team [leaving our shop and team] and another left to pursue higher education.

Prior to the season, we always planned to run 12-races this season, and knowing we wouldn't have the best parts and short on manpower, we planned to open the season in Vegas.

Sorry to squelch the debate, but Bill wanted me to clear up the confusion.

Thank you Bobby I had been told business was down and I interjected that the future to impact business decisions. As a Team member(not@BME) I should have just kept my info and mouth shut. at which I publicly stated I appoligize to BME for speaking out.

If it was about the election results wouldn't he have parked his car the last 4 years? Or when Clinton was acting as a doorknob for Monica? He worked hard to keep it out there in spite of the election results and the bad economy. And you guys?

Bill is a brilliant high IQ type of person who knows when to play and when not to. While some people would just grab the VISA and Mastercard to keep going Bill heads for the office, closes the door and works hard to find new opportunities for his business in order to keep the doors open and his loyal employees fat and happy. Something many of the entitlement types here wouldn't understand.

The race car is a byproduct of success. Continuing to run a race car is very VERY time consuming even on a part time level. When your business needs you, you need to consume yourself in it, not a race car. If you don't, your business will suffer. Trust me. I know (the hard way).

RG X2
Greg you should be so luck as RG & myself to know Mr. Bill Miller not only professionally, but also on a personal level.
You entitled BRAT, take your keyboard and stick it

I know that he's always had his opinions, but parking a car because of an election is a "take my ball and go home" attitude. But whatever, he's entitled to his own opinion.

Major track addition postponed due to the election four years ago. Now on hold again. BME backing off for the same reason. Business down taxes up.

^^^You missed the point entirely. Bill funds his own hobby. Said funds come from his business. If his business fails or isn't profitable enough due to decisions our leaders make, then he may not have the extra income to fund his horizontal money pit.

Bill is a very smart business man, IMO. He was one of the first to move his business from my native state to Nevada.

And yes, then that plastic guy moved to a Carolina...

Also 100% correct.

I just called Bill Miller, He said they just sat out Pomona and Phoenix because they didn't feel they were ready.

They will be at Vegas with Troy behind the wheel.

Geez Larry you just went and killed a perfectly good thread filled with speculation and assumptions...:D
