Austin Prock interview regarding his Q4 run (18 Viewers)

They will be back. Too good of a team. To be fair, a lot of teams had trouble with the track. However, Alexis, a JFR car, made it all the way to the final and Jordan made it to the semi's. Then Josh Hart won in TF. They figured something out. I don't know what went wrong with Prock.

IMO

He left a champion team for his own "rights"...

Like others have said, he peed in JF's cheerios and Karma is going to follow him for that alone!

This just shows you how difficult it is to put 12K horsepower to the ground especially with a different motor combination and chassis. Throw in a hot track after stellar test conditions and it is even more difficult.

just remember, not everyone gets the chance to buy your team from a retiring owner. (DSR)
IMO the procks were never going to own JFR. what was left to prove there? especially if this is their
livelihood for years to come. I think they made a bold move to position themselves for the future.
time will tell.

@Mike Larson
You have a good point there. I never thought of that.

Especially if they are being paid well in the meantime until they could possibly own their own team down the road. If they can bank their money and get sponsors on board, it makes sense if that is their plan. The Procks have been around for decades and know the ins and outs of Nhra Nitro racing.

After 3 qualifying failures you would think Jimmy Prock would put a a relatively softball tune up in the car to guarantee a qualifying spot. All he had to do was run a 4.187 to get into the show.

Regarding Austin, I think he was so used to winning that this was a reality check, especially after the team change. After a few phone calls (from sponsors) and team meetings, I think he now realizes that he shouldn't have blamed the FTQ on the NHRA. This will be a learning experience for the entire team. It won't take them long to be back on the winning side.

Karma? Yeah, I think so.

Prock has never been shy. There have been times when they weren't in and he ran mid 3.90s in Q4. I think they just missed it.
