Not arguing, just discussing, if an offensive lineman has a bad day and holds the defensive end 4 times, should the penalty be different than a guy who holds once every third game? If you commit 4 fouls, I think you should get 4 penalties. No matter when they occur.

My Opinion,
Alan

I'm not arguing either, just playing devils advocate. In your stick and ball analogy, yes. 4 holdings in one game is worse if the holding infraction was followed by 45 minutes of cleanup and in a worst case scenario, ruining the field for the other team. 4 times one weekend is bad tuning. Once every 3 weekends could be a unknown defective part. Thinking back to Gainesville, '94 or '95. Armstrong was chasing an issue in the fuel system all day blew up every run, but KB was going rounds. lost in the final to... I cant remember, but the point is, they went up there every run knowing they were going to blow up, where as you sometimes can get a bad part and not catch it until the damage is done. In today's racing, KB's team should be penalized more heavily vs the unknown defective part; IMO.

Swing out the Zoo when you get to Brained, I'll have a cold beer waiting for you Alan!

Well...............if you get 5 fouls called in one game, you are done. If you get them spread over the season........................
