I doubt that unless your points are negative. HahaMy picks sucked so bad I’m probably behind you already.

They couldn't. The forecast was for a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms beginning around 230-3pm. And sure enough the storms began to move into the area right after the final final. Round 1 sucked for all but the rest of the race was really good. Hell of a lot better than moving the final to the next race (they wouldn't have been able to race tomorrow; mucho rain again).Certainly can’t control the weather and they did the best they could trying to navigate it. But they should have delayed the start of the race. The track surface wasn’t even close to being acceptable to run these cars.
and Jerry Don Tucker? What happened to sienna wildgust?
Tell that to Trip Tatum. They couldn't. The forecast was for a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms beginning around 230-3pm. I picked 3 of the pro winners; imagine that.![]()
Does anyone know why Blake is running the Dodge body? Doesn't look like either Dodge or Ford have an agreement with CGN.and blake is running the dodge body.
Definitely don't think CGM is aligned with a manufacturer. Chad's tow vehicle is GM.Does anyone know why Blake is running the Dodge body? Doesn't look like either Dodge or Ford have an agreement with CGN.

Agreed, the track was a problem early on. NHRA should have prepped it better. You can race in mid-60 degree weather with high humidity. The reason the track sucked was because Saturday's rain washed the rubber away, not simply because it was too cold. You can't replace the rubber other than the cars laying it down but you can't tell me it couldn't have been better prepped. Pretty sure I'm preaching to the choir here....Tell that to Trip Tatum.
That starting line was completely unacceptable to race on, at that time. I don't give two sh*ts when it was going to rain.
No cars went down the left lane prior to Trip's crash, up to that point, only Tony Stewart made it down the track and that was in the right lane. After the wreck and multi hour rain delay is when the other cars went down the track. The track appeared to be in better condition after the rain. For what it's worth - 1, there were 3 mid 3.70's passes including two at over 330mph immediately before Tatum made his fateful run. Two of them were in the left lane. 2, no disrespect to Tripp whatsoever but you saw as well as I did what caused that crash.

Could they have started the race at 11am? Yes. And we'd be talking about the final 2 weeks from now since Monday was considered a sure-fire rainout. Perhaps I should have stated "They couldn't, with any reasonable expectation of finishing the race on Sunday."
DRC posts the round results ASAP, when the last pair go down the track. There was a big rain delay, so TF was posted after they actually ran the last pair. Almost real time! Was Tatum the 1st pr out this morning? DRC isn't showing anything.
I don't recall the exact run order for TF/E1 from watching it on FS1; I didn't record it. I remember Stewart's early 3.72 and I was pretty sure the Tatum/Mercier passes came towards the end of E1. NHRA's 'detailed results' page lists it as last in the order and it's always been my understanding that NHRA lists the results in the order of which they occurred. If that's not correct then I stand corrected and your assessment is accurate. Sorry, guys.Multiple wrong statements in here
Only smoke got down the track at 3.72
Next was mercier in the right lane at 4.16 (smoke also right lane)
11am (likely pushed back as rain came at 10:44) would have been a perfect start time as, minus the one rain delay after Tatum, it did not rain again until 8pm
NO rubber on the track, Antron talked about the bald spots on the starting line.Tell that to Trip Tatum.

Got it; thanks, Mike. Now I understand why people were carping so much about the track.carl you are correct. DRC lists summary of E1 TF correctly. tatum/mercier were the 6th pair, just prior to major rain delay.
torrence/foley 7th, then salinas/reed 8th
