Will somebody at NHRA Media and Marketing run with this story!!!

Maybe this week? AP. ESPN.

(You know, all those same markets that had no issue showing the death of a good man over and over again?)

I can see it now. The Awesome Al-Anabi Open at the new Qatar drag facility. I guess that would have to be an IHRA event though....ya know, international:D

I'm happy for Alan he has been waiting for the opportunity to run his own team for a long time!
It will definitely bring parity to the Top Fuel division until Alan's new team sorts it out then you will probably see another dominate T/F team and possibly a dominate F/C team!
This American idea crap is idiotic. He is a business man doing what's best for Alan Johnson and his family he has earned this excellent opportunity and we should be happy for him.
Welcome to the world economy people it isn't selling out its just business adjust or get left behind.
DSR will survive they may not be as dominate but it won't stop them from trying.
Nothing last forever they had an awesome run with Alan.

Tony better enjoy the rest of this season. Next year, at best he will only be on par with the other teams performance wise, that is until Alan's team gels and starts to dominate like he is now at DSR. Maybe Tony will apply for the position?

NOT !

I'm interested in who he hires to fill the seats this is going to fun to watch.
I'm sure he will be inundated with resumes I will be following this closely.

Google Earth these coordinates:

25 degrees, 11'06.66" North by 51 degrees 29'11.79" East

Should take you to the Skeik's new track in Qatar.

This is the ninth purpose-built drag racing faility I have found in the UAE countries. Each facility rivals any SMI track here in the States. They love drag racing over there.

Tolliver makes sense. Didn't he used to race with AJ's Toyota F/C program? I'd like to see Scelzi or Burkhart though. Burkhart did a great job filling in for Force. I doubt that Scelzi would jump in a F/C though..... Especially since he seemed to be hit pretty hard when we lost Eric Medlin and Scott Kalitta.
