Two thoughts...

1. AJ puts the Alan in Al-Anabi

2. The least they could do is change the name to ALAN-Abi

"Johnson’s partner in the operation is His Highness Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Thani".

If this guy walks around the pits, does everybody have to address him as "your Royal Highness"?
Only if you're a woman.

"The (Qatar) legal system allows leniency for a man found guilty of committing a "crime of honor," or a violent assault against a woman for perceived immodesty or defiant behavior; however, such honor killings are rare and none received public attention during the year."

"Women may attend court proceedings but generally are represented by a male relative; however, women may represent themselves if they wish. The testimony of two women equals that of one man, but the courts routinely interpret this on a case-by-case basis."

Back to racing. To me, a significant aspect of all this is that it's quite possible that the Sheik has more money than Budweiser (for example), and his involvement will enable some surprising creativity and technological progress.

I was born an american 69 years ago, I have lived my live as an american, I served my time in the military. Drag racing is an american sport that I have supported from the 50s. Allen and Blaine Johnson were the american dream when it came to racing and myself and many other people backed them 100% If Allen wants to walk away from the US Army and take more money from some Foreign shiek than I am done with him and will boo him forever. Flame me all you want but I would like to think A.J. is more of a man than to sell himself off to some foreign country. Time will tell!

Hold on, I have to run and grab my little American Flag so i can wave it while singing the Star Spangled Banner.

I wish AJ all of the luck in the world! I hope he can get a handle on those crazy FC's! I'm excited to see who he ends up putting in the seats!
