The one thing I give team Kalitta an "A" for - over performance, money, wins, determination, personnell onboard or anything else... is thier willingness and success at bringing onboard major sponsors. Starting back with MGM Grand after Scott retired and Doug moved to drag racing, it's been an amazing transition. Jesse James, Zantrex-3, Mac Tools..... and Strivectin-SD. I feel these guys have the best sponsorship & PR brains in the business. You should see how much dough Strivectin SD pours into the pot. Each race is a full hospitality set up. a rented suite in the tower.... and more importantly, you can literally walk into any Lord & Taylor, Macy's or any other upscale retailer....in any major mall... as far away from drag racing as you can get.... and I promise you, the clerk behind the counter can tell you who Dave Grubnic is! It's absolutley awesome.
