neff and schaeffer are more than capable to tune whatever runs out of jcm stable. we'll see how many trailers they show up with @ gainesville.
todd smith will most likely be finding a new home soon too.

I don't recall reading that Venables was out of a job, or Todd Smith either. I guess I am out of the loop. I have forgotten who Dickie V. was tuning for last year. Wasn't Smith with the Kalitta funny car?

What happened with Venables at Tony Stewart Racing/Matt Hagen? Did he quit? Hagen had a decent year, finishing 4th in the standings. Wouldn't think he would have been let go after a 4th place finish in 2024.

Just a theory, Venables is a multiple championship winning chief, one of the best. Assuming Matt is bringing money to the team, maybe Matt is winding down his career?

have been wondering if stanley black and decker (maybe spends most with kalitta mac tools sponsorship) has ever considered going head to head with scag in nhra drag racing;
their hustler line of mowers. would look great on langdon's TF'r ...... actually, the rub would be if jcm were to ever unveil a scag competitor riding lawn care brand.
the irony in all this is that Tony and Alexis are pretty good friends off track both living in Austin area. Seems to me Tony may have encouraged her to go to JCM
