I bet it won't be long before Ida gets sponsorship for a full season. She's a European champion, has a great personality and a strong work ethic. She will be at every race whether she's racing or not. What more could a sponsor ask for?

Mike. thats what teams have media people for.
what i'm suggesting is sponsors are only as interested as the reach of the sport or entertainment vehicle, regardless of what team's media people are able to do.
i don't care if you're ida, clay, erica, ron, brittany, or tony; the nhra is only so attractive to so few, otherwise we'd have 24 races annually again with 16+ car fields.
i'm happy that a few select companies have chosen ida to represent them at 1/2 the 2025 nat. events. i think we'll see JCM continue to promote their unique all female nitro effort.

01/21 wfo show also with great interview with ida. nice to hear mention of brainerd and maple grove during her 2024 debut season.
wish her racing success and a little luck thrown in. just a matter of time till another company/s want to partner with her and jcm.

She will have to get out and pound the pavement to find a "marketing partner" so she can race more. Companies rarely just call these drivers or teams offering to sponsor them after seeing them on TV. Drivers can't just sit by the phone hoping the phone will ring. Drivers need to know more about marketing than they know about driving. She will have to sell herself to a sponsor, and I'm sure she knows that.

Your post reminds me of what JFR has done as a group. John has done a lot and Brittany and Ashley (?) signed a huge sponsor, forgot which one.

couldn't agree more john. what you say is true; am optimistic for ida's future as a scandinavian driver in our professional series.

I would bet a 100 dollar bill that she's been very active doing exactly that for quite a while already. She is not a stranger to the racing sponsorship world but deals take time to complete. I am surprised that Joe Maynard has bad problems raising funding with all of his many contracts and business partners that he deals with on a regular basis. Wonder if Alexix might be able to come up with some help thru her connections?

I agree John, I would not be surprised to see Bandero Tequila step up and support Ida in some way. This all-female Nitro team definitely has some marketing appeal.

Am hoping that with Trump in office, the economy will get better. More chances of sponsorship.

I think this is a very good point, and I agree that this could be a big factor with increasing sponsor participation in NHRA drag racing. The Trump economy should also bring down the very high Biden inflation of the last 4 years, which if so will help all the teams in terms of travel costs and cost of parts.
