So did I interpret right, Grubby is out at JFR?
Quote from John,"I made some mistakes—I didn’t have a back-up for (Top Fuel crew chief Dave) Grubnic.”

mike haynie, where did you read/hear that info about JFR? ....... IMO if grubnic became available, alan johnson would say to connie, 'time to bury the hatchet'

still waiting to find out what prompted nicky b. to leave bandero car and move to rwr

John might've gotten Mac and Grubby mixed up.

Sounds logical. Read it at 6:30 this morning and it got me worried. Jf does great interviews and I like his 3-5 word sentences but sometimes its a little choppy but thats ok.

No he did not, it's pretty clear in the video with Joe, but translating bits and pieces to an article out of context sometimes can be tough. He pretty much said taking Mac away left Grubnic out there without a solid co-crew chief, and that they have now hired one.
Figures. Autoweek articles are out of context more often than they should be.

Oooh, interesting! That will hopefully be exciting, yeah!!! Wonder if Bruce Read will come hang out again from Australia, or if that was a one year deal. I really like that guy too!
I'd be surprised if we didn't see Bruce next year. It's summer and racing there now, Jim O always goes down in our off season and Bruce come's here in their off season. They have been close friends for years.
