Not there yet, but Dallas has 14 TAFC entered with a week to go before the entry deadline. If 2 more enter, that would mark the first time all season the class would have a full field.

Alcohol fields at the Motorplex are typically pretty strong. Lots of alcohol racers in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas. It's been a long, long time since I've watched an injected nitro FC make a pass. Hopefully a couple will show up.
I really enjoy Top Alcohol and the dwindling numbers, especially TA/FC, is depressing but understandable seeing as it's an expensive class to run for not much return. You just gotta love doing it.
Interesting that Bartone appears to be making the switch to an Injected nitro TA/FC when they have had so much success with the current blown combination. I guess drag racers are gluttons for punishment. "If it works, let's fix it anyway" ??

Drag racers get bored. The Bartone team have won almost everything in the class, if not everything. Everyone knows they are #1. What else is there to prove?
I believe Sean said earlier this year that they won't switch to the AFC fully. They will start testing and see what happens, all the while running their TAFC for points.
Indeed. Back during the Pat Austin days, TAFC cars at the Motorplex were thicker than ticks on a dog's back and Santos was kicking butt with his SBC powered T/A dragster. Those were some good times.
Mick Steele was running good until his crash at Bowling Green. I hope to see him back out soon. He seems to have the best results so far with nitro. It was also great to see Tony Bogolo come back with a new car after his crash at Norwalk earlier this year and win the Lucas Oil race in St. Louis. He’s a great guy and has been finding a way to keep running sine the early 80s.
