Unlike cell phone companies though, where the price trend has been down (unless you burn up a lot of data, and even then "unlimited" data packages are markedly cheaper than a few years ago), the cable/satellite industry is trending up, and it will only continue to go up as the content providers like ESPN increase their carriage fees year over year, which means your cable/satellite provider has to pay more to carry them every year and thusly they have to charge you more to watch it every year.
