WHO'S GOING TO EPPING?

Ten of us already have our tickets, for all four days and are foaming at the mouth with excitement. Two of our group are newbies and have never seen any car that runs on Nitro. I can't wait to see the look on their faces! We're coming up from RI and MA. What state will you be coming from?

I would have liked going to Epping, till I found out they don't run the Alky cars. But I heard the Traffic was an Abortion so its a Pass.

Yeah, the traffic was horrendous last year. There will be a big learning curve to figure it out. The highway exit dumps you off right at the track, but you have to get there early to miss the backup.

Cannot wait!!! THURSDAY-FRIDAY-SATURDAY-SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last year was a blast!! Englishtown was always fun but driving back to Maine after the race on Sunday was not much fun!! It would be nice to see some good air on Friday!!

My friend Darren Bingham from Australia was there last year, I told him he had better get there before 7 AM on both Sat/Sun. He said it was over a Mile long at 6:30 AM! No Thanks...

Good thing abought traffic problem at 6am is the track has a great draw of spectators. Thats not a bad thing

They could not handle the traffic when IHRA was there over ten years ago. It is going to change now, how?

Joe, you shouldn't worry about traffic. You'll probably be on foot. I heard you have a habit of "misplacing" your rental car.

John. I attended every IHRA race they had at the track and can't remember big traffic problems. Not sure traffic issues are that big of deal anyway. Try getting out of a Patriots game without getting stuck on route 1 for hours yet they pack the place every home game. If the product is good then fans will live with a little inconvenience. Can't imagine it's any easier getting in to or out of Loudon after the NASCAR races.

LOL James, when I did Loudon events years ago we just would stay back in the parking lots and have a BBQ with fellow friends. Now that I live in between the track and 393 in Loudon we are stuck at home when they change the traffic pattern to allow only southbound traffic from the track on 106. Traffic will always be a concern for large race events, as a fan you learn to deal with it. Could be worse this year as the NHRA race is on the closing week-end of the motorcycle event in Loudon. I would imagine that may have caused some lodging problems as well with 2 major events on the same week-end. James look for me Fri or Sat in the NED project tent with Henry, we are supposed to be next to the NED souvenir trailer.

IHRA races never had traffic issues getting in. They had some issues with everyone leaving the track at once after the Nite of Fire.

Wish I could come home for the race this year, but we cant make it. Everyone who goes, have a blast!

Monday night the track officials are meeting with the town council on the possibility of a beer tent this year. Nothing like a cold one to cool you down in the heat.

Not sure. I think they made a deal with the town when the track was built, that they wouldn't sell beer. They have gotten exemptions before for special events.
