WHO'S GOING TO EPPING?

Is that a Dry County?
No dry counties in NH. I think per capita we drink more beer than anyone else. I had heard a story that around 1968 during a night race there was a brawl in the grandstands and the locals demanded no alcohol aftert that. They've been pretty serious about during my time going to the track. Having a cold one can be nice but if a few get drunk and cause issues it just ruins it for everyone else. Will have my family there, would prefer for them to enjoy themselves.

Have been going to NED since they swung the gates open in 1966, Raced my new 66 Hemi Belvedere in stock eleminator! Alcohol was never allowed in the pits or the grandstands to my knowledge. Many great times at this track in the last 48 years!!!!

The track has signs that say no alc allowed into the facility and they usually check coolers going in. The per capita thing is a misnomer James, we sell beer, wine and hard spirits cheaply so all the visitors that buy it here and take it home count against us that live here....lol You know the liquor stores on the highway are the top grossing stores!!

I heard it was that way at Englishtown for a long time, guess they rescinded it!

I didn't consider that Mike, guess I don't have to keep working so hard to hold up my end of the statistic. If you can't have a beer at the track there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy a cold one while ripping into a fresh lobstah.

Hey, we all try and do our part! :D

The beer tent was approved by the town, so if you feel the need to have a cold one, you can.

I have never been to the New England area so a Trip to Epping and a day in Boston sight-seeing are a must, but that would be a very expensive trip!

epping would be great to go to....every national event is essentially the same and the cars are cookie cutter and so are many
of the tracks......but a few have an old school feel to them that appeals to me.....epping IMO tops that list.

Old school tracks are one thing, rundown dumps are another! I have never been to Epping so I have no idea what it is like, but I did go to E-town in '03 and I was very disappointed! Once you have gotten used to the Chicago's and Vegas style Super tracks, the old school tracks are a Joke anymore!

It sure looked like a pretty packed crowd on Sat. It's nice seeing Graham Rahal there hanging out with Court.
