WHO'S GOING TO EPPING?

you know we had to trick the revenuers from the surrounding states Bob...LOL I remember when MA used to send troopers up in unmarked cars to see who would be filling there cars up at the border stores an heading back to MA only to be greeted by other troopers waiting to get them for transporting more than was allowed!!

Saturday we got to the track at 7:30 and it was a 6 minute walk from the gate to our parking spot... Today we got there at 6:15 and had premo parking... I think they did a great job taking care of parking so many cars.. If you got there at 9:00 we'll you probably had to get bused in.

The kids on the Babe Ruth team I coach came to the track today. They got there at 10:00. They said they had about a 7-8 minute walk to get the front gate.

Having been there last year, I'd say they've solved their traffic issues, last year was bad, this year, we had no issues at all, excepting a wait to exit on Sunday.

It looked to me that the crowds were a little smaller, except for Sunday, which seemed bigger than last year.

Last year we were in bussed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ($10. day extra to park at the circle track), this year we managed to park at the track all four days.

Weather was fantastic, as was the racing. Traffic flow was smooth, as was the beer in the tent. The trams did a great job of moving people to and from the tracks upper parking lots.

Old school tracks are one thing, rundown dumps are another! I have never been to Epping so I have no idea what it is like, but I did go to E-town in '03 and I was very disappointed! Once you have gotten used to the Chicago's and Vegas style Super tracks, the old school tracks are a Joke anymore!

well joe, this thread and at least one other are basically raving about the race last weekend @ the non-palatial NED....food/beer/parking/
traffic/ and even the racing was really good. good thing you didn't go, the place would have not been up to your standards...... and
just to add, please keep missing brainerd, i assure you you wouldn't care for it there either.

Well Mike, I admitted I never been to Epping, yet your ragging on me for it?
