As far as Whit,I'd like to see him back out at the track,I always liked him and think he's a good driver.I also like the fact he speaks his mind.He might be blunt, but there's no guessing where his head is at.

#1 Whit is a very good driver who worked his way up without having it handed to him. I respect that.

#2 Whit is probably the most honest speaking person I've ever heard on camera. Most likely just as straight forward off camera. I'd like to think that I'm as truthful with those I deal with.

#3 Having Whit back in a F/C would only add to the sport. Couldn't hurt.

# 4 I have a roadtrip from NM to PA this weekend....guess who is going to load up on TASTYCAKES.

#4 - Woohoo - Butterscotch krimpets are the best!! ;) 2nd Tandy Kakes

We all know Whit and Mike Dunn are good buddies. I suspect that they are both content doing what they are doing and that Whit would come back under the same conditions that Mike would come back under.

Mike and Whit could make a come back together... Sponsor SNICKERS! :D

So, does that mean your first name is pronounced HENN???

Henn Hadameyo:D:D

I had a guy tell me that I couldn't have it both ways, but I can! ;)

If you get my full name you go from an:

English-Spanish-English-Spanish-Spanish name.

(and it's about that long too!) Which is why it's much simplier to just go by "Jenn"

List of people who would be in line in front of Whit if only they were to "land a sponsor":

Jim Head
Phil Burkhart
Jeff Arend
Dean Skuza
Daniel Wilkerson
Anyone in TAFC
Timmah

THAT ROCKS!!!! Thx Mr. Williams! But, I’d like to add a few people on that list...

hmmm.....
Rapid...
Erica Ortiz
Mike Minick (the family name returns to the Pro's!)
Bobby Bennett...(dude would drive a flopper if given the chance..)
Alan Reinhart...(REMEMBER THE JIM HEAD THREAD LAST YEAR!! I'm sure he would not "pass up the seat if offered...")
Mendy Frey, who is just an awesome driver, and great person!

The funny thing about the people on this list, and the ones you included is the following:

a) They all could actually do it! Meaning they have the SKILLZ it takes to do physically and mentally drive a Fuel Flopper
b) They have the professionalism and charisma it takes to promote a sponsor and take care of the fans
c) Have the Courage to do it...and the Passion and dedication needed to excel at doing this for a living.
d) Most importantly, they all LIVE the old saying... "WIN WITH RESPECT....LOOSE WITH DIGNITY"

It's no secret that I don't really think all that highly of Whit's "Act". I have always tried to give people the Benefit of the doubt, as No body is perfect, and I am defiantly not without faults. From the stories I have heard from many people, he is actually a very giving and caring person. The thing that bothers me, is that it does not match his "PUBLIC PERSONA". I'm not saying that he does not appreciate what he has done for a living for so many years. I'm not him, I do not know him very well, but everyone on that list would most likely Wake up every morning and thank God for the PRIVLEGE of driving a Fuel Funny Car every weekend! If we loose a race, we would walk up to the other racer, shake their hand and loose with CLASS. I really can't say whether Mr. Bazemore has the same appreciation for this "HONOR", but going to the "MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY" card does not inspire me to jump on the Whit bandwagon fan club. I've always respected people who are HUMBLE. Whit say's what's on his mind.. he wears his heart on his sleeves, and THAT I CAN RELATE TO, and I respect that about him. He is also a very good Flopper driver. But, at the end of the day, the person who earns my respect, is the person who is penitent.

I am ambivalent towards Bazemore ... but the fact this thread has reached this many posts makes me hope Whit comes back just to stir it up. I can tell you I would rather hear Bazemore "whine" as you guys put it than any other driver's mindless recitation of sponsors. At least you are hearing Whit say something real as he perceives it.

Jenn,
Just curious. Why do you 'Hate Kansas'?
L.

Cuz Kansas hates me!!!!

I...

1. Crashed my pit bike there (Heartland Park Topeka)
2. Lost my dad's keys there.
3. Got heat stroke (twice)
3a. Passed out in the staging lanes (Thanks Randy Nygard)
4. Got thrown off my ATV there, got road rash all over. (Great Bend)
4a. They had to scrub dirt out of raw flesh, I screamed so loud and long I lost my voice.
4b. The guy in the ambulance had to hold me down. (not all that bad, he was kind of cute)
5. Burned my leg on the headers
6. Burned my shoulder on the headers.
7. Sliced my fingers on a rock.
8. Truck overheated (heading in, omen)
9. Fell out of the trailer. (Heading out of Kansas)
10. Got a nice star shaped welt on my noggin from a flying burn out rock.

Is that enough or should I keep going?

Sure, that could have happened anywhere (and actually some of them happen often anyway), but they all happened in Kansas!!!

In three races in Kansas!

I hate Kansas.

Damn! I certainly wouldn't want to go back there if all that stuff happened to me. BTW in a recent article (wished I saved it), they listed Kansas has the US's 2nd biggest embarrassment, losing out to.... Paris Hiltion.

You should have been at Great Bend this year. You might have still been getting header pipe burns, but they would have been because you were too close to them trying to stay warm! It was cold there this year, in the upper 30's every morning!

Thank's Bob, but I'll still pass.

I got behind the eight ball on a school project (two years ago this week in fact) and had to miss an LODRS in Great Bend. The guy who owns one of the cars Fred was driving was going, so they had help. I was so disapointed :p.

But then my best friend got into a horrible accident and I spent the weekend at the hospital, it didn't make me like Kansas any more either.

Oh, and then my water pump went out on my car on the way to church.

Then I ran out of gas.

All Kansas' fault.
