In one our many moments of meaningful conversation, I once asked my man (Al Hofmann) who he would most like to sit down and have dinner with, talk of racing, past, present and future. He said none other than our friend Whit Bazemore. Wouldn't that have been something? Al and Whit were very much alike, and given the opportunity to build a dream team, the driver most likely would have been Whit Bazemore. The man is very intense and extremely dedicated to his values and vision. A very talented man.
His true personality is not well known. Read between the lines race fans, you will find something quite brilliant.

I'm with d'kid on this one... here's a guy who's hasn't strapped into a race car all year and he's already got 42 posts in this thread from people who have an opinion about the guy - I'm not a fan, but I don't necessarily dislike him either. That said, the sport needs him out there or his personality.

Sounds like maybe that Vandergriff guy knew what he was talking about after all!;)

Why am I not surprised by that. My two favorite funny car drivers ever. Why I don't know it's not something I can really explain. It's just a sense about them. I just always thought about the both of them - now there's a guy who's out here for the right reason. PASSION.

Not that the others aren't , but the PT Barnum circus show you get sometimes aint' my style, and the butt kissing sponsor pleasing wimp show ain't my style either

Thanks for posting that you made my day!

So is Whit enjoying his cycling out in Oregon?

Like Keith Richards said a long time ago. "It don't matter if its good publicity or bad publicity, its still publicity".

Most go either way with Whit. I will not deny the fact that he can get it done in a race car. Thats the real bottom line here. I hope he lines something up soon. Its a lot more fun with him out there.

Jenn, every time we talk, (most anyway), you have some awesome food, that always makes me hungry. I just finished leftovers for lunch and man that sounds good now. Thanks...

Don't mention it! :)

Probably comes from the Hispanic side of the family (wait, both sides are Hispanic) that says if you come over and don't have something to offer, you are rude, and if you go over and don't take what's offered, you are rude, and if somebody comes over, they usually bring food (at the risk of being rude) so al this food is just a way to be polite, and I don't know how many times I've offered to share my food.

Except some of my family's dishes, it's better to eat first and then ask what's in it :)

LOL, Jenn. OH, just remembered I have some Oreo cakesters here! Not the same, but will work. ;)

And, just to keep on the topic we started on before lots of derailment.... I think it would be great to have Whit back.

I have Oreo and vanilla cakesters here. Suzie's sweet corn would be nice :)

We all know Whit and Mike Dunn are good buddies. I suspect that they are both content doing what they are doing and that Whit would come back under the same conditions that Mike would come back under.

Jenn..........I put in a good word with Terry for ya! It may take 7 months to get your corn, but he threw in some bonus goodies for us having to wait so long! Very thoughtful!!!:D
