Whatever happened to??

Whatever happened to drivers like Dean Skuza, Eddie Hill, etc? Does anyone know what happened to these and other drivers who just disappeared from drag racing. Was it lack of sponsorship, etc?

I cant remember right now if Eddie lost the Pennzoil deal and quit or if he quit at the end of it b/c he was just old. He was one of my fav's though. One of the nicest people you could ever meet. He lives in Wichita Falls, TX and runs a dealership the last I heard.

Yes, Ed runs a motorcycle shop right in town. He & Ercie are happy as ever. I know for a fact they were planning to do a "Farewell" season-long "retirement" promotion like Purdomme did; but unfortunatley it didn't materialize with the sponsors. That's OK; they got the respect they deserved, and left thier mark on racing - and Lord knows they had plenty of fans over the years.
