This is the only video clip I’ve seen of the horses in the Netherlands actually being rescued. The riders going out to get the stranded horses were all women, I think there were only about 3 as I remember. My relatives in Holland are so proud of these ladies, you can't imagine. I was able to connect with all of my relatives in Holland (my mother's side of the family) through Ancestry.com several years ago....a real success story! When this happened last year, I sent links to them from all of the newspapers in America who carried the story, so they would see how far reaching this situation had become. I discovered that my life long love of horses is shared by people who share my blood, whom I will never meet.
