Now include delivery, personnel, and any necessary infrastructure to store/cool/sell that $ 0.23 bottle...I think the ability to provide water at a sensible price should be mandatory, as it should be considered a safety issue.
Especially when bringing your own water in isn't allowed.
I just looked at Costco, a pallet of 48 cases of 40 per case = 1,920 bottles = $429.99 per case. that's $00.23 per bottle.
You mean to tell me that selling at $1.00 a bottle making a profit of .77 cents on each bottle as a curtesy and safety issue isn't enough?
The personal, infrastructure to cool/store are already in place along with delivery. It's the cost per bottle that's all based on greed. Now include delivery, personnel, and any necessary infrastructure to store/cool/sell that $ 0.23 bottle...
While I can’t say they had GA tickets for sale at the gate, I sat in GA all weekend. The last 4 or so sections on the pitside were general admission. Is it true Chicago did away with GA seating and made everyone buy a reserved seat in a 2/3 empty place?
how much does icecream cost Bader? Now include delivery, personnel, and any necessary infrastructure to store/cool/sell that $ 0.23 bottle...
Pretty positive the reputation built over the years based on what could have been a "one season and done" promotion has not only paid for itself, but has probably banked enough in good vibes points in locking in return (ticket buying) customers, that he could run $1 ice cream for another decade, and the only thing that would hurt the Baders would be if cows here stopped producing milk...how much does icecream cost Bader?
At IHRA racers can sell their own shirts. Better experience and helps the racer, no middleman. When attending an event, whether a musical concert , motorsports race , or an art show, food, drink and an event t-shirt are what a lot of people want to purchase. NHRA and track promoters and food vendors need to work together to bring people back to the track. I know single color screened t-shirts are cheap to make, and the markup in price is huge. Make a variety of event t-shirts and give a bundle price of say $28-30 , for a drink , hotdog and t-shirt. What ever. Sell more tickets and food at a reasonable price, get more spectators, make more money. Attract more spectators to the stands, and sponsors might take an interest and come into the sport again. Try something .
you're not including what NHRA charges vendors to sell 'anything' at an eventI think the ability to provide water at a sensible price should be mandatory, as it should be considered a safety issue.

I don't think it has anything to do with them being "weak." That sounds like a lazy response. I think there is more information out there on what harm excessive temperatures do to the body, and people are taking that into consideration. Just how Nitro crew chiefs have gained more information over time. They weren't running 300-mph to the 1/8-mile 20 years. it was a collective growth of knowledge and technology over the years. Which is what has happened to human beings and the medical field and science.I have noticed people are ridiculously scared of heat (and weather in general) these days. The whining any time there is a 90+ forecast is insane- so many people act like they literally stand a good chance of dying if they even go outside. Summertime events get cancelled due to routine heatwaves. It's really bizarre and sad how people are just OK with being weak now.
That's the point, NHRA should set the price at a dollar for water only.you're not including what NHRA charges vendors to sell 'anything' at an event
But there's no one there to buy them....At IHRA racers can sell their own shirts. Better experience and helps the racer, no middleman.
Didn’t someone at NHRA have one of those in not to distant past
I have heard that tooI believe there was one, but it wasn't an Exec, If memory serves me correctly it was a well-financed fan who I think was hanging with a former champion
They are paying. The Phillies sell out most games, so they are not giving away any tickets. The most they do is buy one-get one hot dog nights. Early in the season, they do offer packages in which you pay full price for the tickets and get coupons for a set amount of concessions.Curious as to if the college kids are paying to get in ?? I know around here I have heard free or greatly reduced pricing.
Bleachers themselves are bad, whether they are splintered wood or hot aluminum. Are there any other major pro sports that still use bench bleacher seats?Sitting on aluminum stands in the sun and heat can be brutal.
